Soviet Communications Base L.

On the edge of a large military training area in the federal state of Brandenburg, south of Berlin, are the remains of a support intelligence center of the Soviet armed forces in Germany. The object consists of a small communications bunker with a floor area of approx. 200 square meters, a garage complex, a social building, a small generator shelter, a USB-type bunker that served as a food cold store and two switching boilers. There is also a sauna building in the style of a Russian log cabin. There is also a residential building with a dining room and cinema on the site. The comms bunker itself basically consists of just 5 large rooms and a few

small rooms, including a room for the emergency power system (2 generators) with an assembly shaft, a room for the uninterruptible power supply, a room with a full air-conditioning block, a room for the main low-voltage distribution and a communications center. There was also a small restroom and a small room for the filter systems. The structure had two entrances, each with a tambour, one on the long side and one on the short side of the rectangular protective structure. This bunker is a type project.

Today, the site and the protective structure look completely neglected and have been completely looted by metal thieves.
