This object was built in the 1930s and was used by the German Navy.
Originally a part of the division of the navy responsible for researching and building mines, after the war it was recommissioned for the German Navy's Technical School. It must be abandoned for about 10 or 15 years now, but the decay is only slowly setting in. The basement has been raided by copper thieves, but the rest of the building is mostly unharmed by graffiti "artists" and other vandals.
