This abandoned school in Eastern Germany lies next to a lordly mansion in a rural community. It was built as a school for "slow learning" kids. Originally, the mansion itself was used as the schoolhouse. Construction began in the early 1980s, using a lot of local workers, especially apprentices from the surrounding farms and small companies. The facilities were state of the art - there even was a pool in the basement.
In the 1990s, after the German reunification, the school operation was relocated into another building. Since then, the old school is left to the elements to decay.
