There is no historical information regarding this abandoned building in Eastern Germany. Since it is located on the premises of a former estate, it can be assumed that the building was either part of the estate or - more likely - that it was built during the time of the German separation as a type of community center. At the time the castle was used as the offices for an agricultural cooperative, as kindergarten and as village shop. In this context, the construction of a cultural center is a standard for socialist communities.
