There is little to no historical information about this abandoned brick factory. It has a Hoffmann kiln, so it was probably built in the late 19th or early 20th century. According to one source, the buildings were already very dilapidated in the early 1980s, suggesting that the brickworks had closed in the 1960s or early 1970s - at a time when this fate befell many brickworks in the region due to the increased use of sand-lime bricks as backing walls, concrete and plastic (which also put an end to the manufacture of clay drainage pipes). More recently, the place seems to have been used for storing scrap.
